At dawn this Wednesday (13) the Kingdom of Quinta Velha and the United Provinces of Mauritius signed a Treaty of Mutual Recognition and initiated diplomatic contacts between them. The Treaty is an important milestone between both nations and for micronational diplomacy, as it resolved a territorial issue between the countries - the territories that make up the Kingdom of Quinta Velha were within the referential territory of the United Provinces. Mauritius, in a friendly manner, proposed to talk, understand and negotiate the territorial issue between Quinta Velha and Mauritius, with the Treaty of Recognition being the result of these conversations.
